Trust Wallet is a popular mobile wallet. It connects to websites through WalletConnect, which either shows a QR code on desktop or opens the app on your phone. Here is how to use it to buy tickets.

Part of the complete guide: Crypto lottery: the complete guide

Before you start

  • Install Trust Wallet from the official app store listing and back up your recovery phrase offline.
  • Make sure the network list includes Arbitrum One and that you hold USDC or USDT there.
  • Keep a few cents of ETH on Arbitrum for network fees.

Desktop: using the QR code

  1. 1On the Buy tickets page, select the "Pay with wallet" tab and press "Connect wallet".
  2. 2Choose WalletConnect. A QR code appears.
  3. 3Open Trust Wallet on your phone, go to its WalletConnect or scan function and scan the code.
  4. 4Approve the connection in the app.
  5. 5Back on the site, enter your email and press "Pay".
  6. 6Trust Wallet asks you to sign a short message, then to approve the transfer. Check the token and the amount.
  7. 7Wait for the confirmation page.

If the "Pay with wallet" tab says it is being switched on, use "Pay with crypto" instead. It works with any wallet or exchange.

Mobile: no QR needed

Open the site in your phone's browser, press Connect wallet and choose WalletConnect. The list of your installed wallets appears; pick Trust Wallet and approve. After signing and approving the transfer you return to the browser to watch the confirmation.

You can also open the page inside Trust Wallet's built-in browser, which connects directly.

Choosing the right network

Trust Wallet supports many networks and shows separate balances for each. The wallet payment uses Arbitrum One. If your USDC is on another network, you need to move it first. Many exchanges let you withdraw straight to Arbitrum.

Staying safe

  • Only connect on the real site address. Bookmark it.
  • Never share your recovery phrase with anyone, including support staff.
  • If a prompt asks for unlimited spending or an unknown permission, reject it.
  • Use the QR code only on the page you opened yourself.

Troubleshooting WalletConnect

  • If the QR code does not scan, refresh the page and try again, or move closer to the screen.
  • If the connection drops, reopen the Trust Wallet app and reconnect.
  • If nothing appears for approval, check the WalletConnect sessions screen inside the app.
  • If the app asks for a network that is not enabled, enable Arbitrum One in the wallet's network list.

Using the built-in browser

Trust Wallet has a built-in browser that connects directly, without WalletConnect. Open the site there, press Connect wallet and pick the browser wallet. It is convenient, but be careful to type the real address yourself rather than following links.

Keeping your funds separate

A good habit is to keep your lottery budget in a separate wallet account inside the app. Most wallets let you create several. Move only the week's budget in. If anything ever goes wrong, the loss is limited to that amount.

Example: a mobile-only purchase from start to finish

On your phone, open the buy page in your browser, choose five tickets, enter your email and tick the age box. Choose the wallet tab and tap Connect wallet, then WalletConnect. Pick Trust Wallet from the list and approve. Back in the browser, tap Pay: Trust Wallet opens with a message to sign, which proves the wallet is yours and costs nothing. Approve, then approve the USDC transfer of $25. Return to the browser and watch the progress: sent, confirming, paid. You land on the success page and an email with five ticket numbers arrives. The whole thing takes about two minutes once you have funds on Arbitrum.

Checks before you approve

  • The site address in the connection request is the real one.
  • The message you sign is readable text starting with "CryptoDrawz order".
  • The token is USDC or USDT, the network is Arbitrum One and the amount is your order total.
  • You are not granting any unlimited approval.
