01About these terms

These terms apply when you use the CryptoDrawz website and buy tickets for the CryptoDrawz weekly lottery (the “service”). By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

02Who can play

• You must be at least 18 years old, or the legal age for lotteries where you live if that is higher.
• You are responsible for making sure that online lotteries and crypto games are legal where you are. Some countries and states prohibit them. We block some countries, and you must not try to get around this, for example with a VPN.
• We may refuse or cancel a purchase, and may ask for more information, where the law or our safety checks require it.
• People who ask to be self-excluded, or whom we have restricted, may not buy tickets.

03The lottery

There is one draw each week on Sunday at 20:00 UTC. A ticket costs $5. Each ticket receives its own lottery number, which you can look up on the Track page.

Ticket sales for a draw close before its winners are selected. A round with fewer than 50 tickets is cancelled and every ticket is refunded in full.

Winners are selected using verifiable randomness. Before ticket sales open we will publish exactly how every ticket, including tickets bought through crypto checkout, enters the draw and how anyone can verify the result.

04Buying tickets

You pay through our crypto checkout. Payments are handled by Plisio, and you receive your lottery numbers by email.

Crypto payments cannot be reversed. Check the amount, coin and network before you pay. Payments are processed by third parties whose own terms apply. A ticket is issued once the payment is confirmed. If a payment is not confirmed, or is for the wrong amount, no ticket is issued and we will help you resolve it.

Except where a round is cancelled or a payment fails, tickets are final and cannot be refunded.

05Prizes and the 10%

Of the ticket sales in a round, 90% forms the prize pool. The other 10% goes to good causes (such as feeding people in hunger, helping people affected by war, donations and human-rights work), to improving CryptoDrawz and to its developer; how it is divided between these is up to us. The pool is shared between 14 winning tickets: one grand prize (50% of the pool), three runner-up prizes (10% each) and ten lucky-draw prizes (2% each). Prize amounts depend on how many tickets are sold and are not guaranteed in advance.

Prizes are paid in crypto. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your winnings. We may need to verify who you are before paying a prize, as the law requires.

06Risks you accept

• Playing a lottery means you will usually lose the money you spend. Only spend what you can afford to lose.
• Crypto involves risks we do not control: network fees, delays, wallet mistakes, hacks, price changes and changes in the law.
• Software can contain errors. We test and review our code, but we cannot promise it is free of faults.

07What you agree not to do

• Use the service if you are under age, or where it is not legal for you.
• Use stolen funds, money laundering, or fake or multiple identities.
• Attack, overload or try to break the site, or abuse our forms.
• Get around country restrictions or self-exclusion.

08Our responsibility

The service is provided “as is”. We do not promise that it will always be available or free from errors, or that you will win. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by third parties such as wallet providers, blockchains and payment processors.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited.

09Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the service means you accept the new version. To reach us, use the contact form.
