Part of the complete guide: Crypto lottery: the complete guide
The basics
CryptoDrawz is a weekly crypto lottery. A ticket costs $5, paid in crypto, and a draw runs every Sunday at 20:00 UTC. Each paid ticket gets its own lottery number, emailed to you and trackable on the Track page. There is no account or password.
How the money is split
Ninety percent of a draw's ticket sales form the prize pool. The other 10% goes to good causes, to improving CryptoDrawz and to its developer. The pool is paid to 14 winning tickets: one grand prize (50%), three runner-ups (10% each) and ten lucky draws (2% each).

Frequently asked questions
What is CryptoDrawz?
A weekly lottery where tickets are paid for with crypto and each draw is published so it can be verified.
How much is a ticket?
$5 each. You can buy 1 to 100 tickets per order.
When is the draw?
Every Sunday at 20:00 UTC. Tickets paid after that enter the next draw.
Do I need an account?
No. You give an email address so we can send your lottery numbers.
Which coins can I use?
On the payment page you choose from many coins, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT and USDC. The wallet route uses USDC or USDT on Arbitrum One.
What is the difference between Pay with crypto and Pay with wallet?
Pay with crypto opens a payment page where you send from any wallet or exchange. Pay with wallet connects your wallet and pays directly from it.
How do I get my lottery numbers?
By email as soon as the payment is confirmed. You can also look up an order number on the Track page.
I paid but have no email.
Check spam, then use the Track page with your order number. If it still looks wrong, contact us.
How are winners chosen?
From the closed ticket list and a public random value from the drand beacon, by a published calculation that anyone can repeat.
Who controls the random number?
Nobody at CryptoDrawz. It comes from drand, run by independent organisations.
Can I check a draw myself?
Yes. Press verify on the Draws page, or follow our step-by-step guide to do it by hand.
Can the result be changed after publishing?
No. Published results are stored permanently.
How many winners are there?
Fourteen different tickets: 1 grand prize, 3 runner-ups and 10 lucky draws.
How is the prize pool calculated?
Ninety percent of that draw's ticket sales.
Where does the other 10% go?
To good causes, to improving CryptoDrawz and to its developer.
What are my odds?
With T tickets, one ticket has a 1 in T chance at the grand prize and about 14 in T of winning something.
What if few tickets are sold?
A draw needs at least 50 tickets. Below that it is cancelled and every ticket is refunded.
Do prizes roll over?
No. Each draw pays out its own pool.
How do I get my prize?
We email winners. Reply with the crypto you want and your wallet address and we pay you. Identity checks may apply.
Will you ever ask for my seed phrase?
Never. Nor will we ask for a fee to release a prize.
Is there a smart contract?
Not yet. Draws are run by us and published for verification. An audited on-chain version is planned.
Is it audited?
There is no contract to audit today. The draw is verifiable instead.
Is it legal for me?
It depends on where you live. You must be 18 or older and follow your local law.
Are some countries blocked?
Yes, and we may add more.
Are winnings taxable?
Possibly, depending on your country. Ask a tax adviser.
Can I get a refund?
Tickets are final once payment is confirmed, except when a draw is cancelled or a payment fails.
Which wallets work?
Browser wallets such as MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet and anything that supports WalletConnect, including Trust Wallet.
Why do I sign a message when paying from a wallet?
It proves the wallet is yours and links the payment to your order. It costs nothing.
Do I need ETH to pay from my wallet?
A few cents of ETH on Arbitrum for the network fee.
What is Arbitrum?
A low-fee layer-2 network on Ethereum.
Why use stablecoins?
They keep a $5 ticket at about five tokens, with no price swings.
How long do payments take?
Minutes for most coins. Bitcoin can take up to an hour.
What if I sent the wrong amount?
Contact us with your order number and transaction ID.
What if I used the wrong network?
Contact us right away. Recovery is not guaranteed.
How do I track a ticket?
Enter a ticket or order number on the Track page.
Is my data safe?
We keep very little: your email for orders and anything you send us. No advertising trackers. See the Privacy Policy.
How do I contact support?
Use the contact page. Replies are usually within one business day.
Can I exclude myself?
Yes. Write "self-exclusion" with the email or wallet you use.
Where can I get help with gambling problems?
See our guide to warning signs and help, which lists free confidential support organisations.
Is this gambling advice or a way to make money?
No. A lottery is entertainment with a negative expected value. Only spend what you can afford to lose.
